Sports Ministry
Our church sports ministry here at Calvary seeks to create a place where boys and girls can worship their Father and Creator through soccer and basketball, regardless of their skill level or experience. Each league is designed to teach our children the wonderful truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ all while promoting an atmosphere of fun and encouraging competition. Both soccer and basketball have age-specific leagues from 4 years old through high school with coaches who are eager to give players both skills to play the game and a love of God.
If you are interested in serving, we have volunteers help with coaching, reffing, the concession stand, and more!

Interested in learning more about coaching or reffing? Want to learn more about our league? Click below to see our resource page, where you will find a collection of documents, websites, and videos about a variety of topics from league rules to drills for coaches to mechanics for refs. It is a great resource for volunteers as well as parents who are interested in learning more about our league. It also includes a form where you can submit questions.
Soccer Camp, VBS, and Soccer League 2024 Registration Now Open
Registration is now open for our Soccer Camp, Vacation Bible School (VBS), and fall Soccer League. Registration for these events is online. If you did not receive a registration email, click here to fill out the form in order to request a link (if you have already been sent a link via email, you do not need to complete this step). If you have any questions, please use the contact form on our sports page or Sunday School page to let us know.
Soccer Camp is June 17th-21st from 9am-12pm. VBS is July 15th-19th from 9am-12:30pm. The fall Soccer League runs from August-October, with practices on weeknights in August and games on Saturdays from the end of August to the end of October. For more info on these events, click on the links below:
We also need volunteers for all of these events. If interested, fill out the volunteer form on the Sunday School page. Please note, all volunteers must attend Calvary Chapel of Philadelphia and complete a background check.
Basketball 2024 Registration Now Open
Registration for our Church League Basketball season is now open. The program is available for boys and girls age 4-18 (must still be in high school) and runs from December-February. Registration is online, and links to register have been emailed to past participants. If you need to request an email to receive a registration link, click here.
